Greenpeace Activists Block INEOS Tanker from Forth Bridge in Plastics Treaty Protest

On July 25, 2025, Greenpeace activists blocked the INEOS tanker INDEPENDENCE from reaching Grangemouth by abseiling from the Forth Road Bridge, protesting the company’s role in blocking the Global Plastics Treaty. All 10 were arrested after a 24-hour standoff.
