well we had our local CID round today and they are now looking into this company, Chris Mortimer is a false name and he doesn't give a shit about anyone apart from himself.... spoken to salford council today and they are calling me back.... was anyone else told before paying them money that you had to advertiser betterfares on your website.... i know we weren't told,unless you add the link they will send you no more work..... WHY ADVERTISE THEM WHEN YOU GET NO WORK ANYWAY.

we have recieved a message from a member of staff from salford city council stating it is not a legal requirement of there city council to advertise on any of our websites in fact they are not even registered with salford city council..
Betterfares etc can go bankrupt but however this does not stop the on going investigation of obtaining money by deception which the police are currently in the process of dealing with as you can imagine there are thousands of people who have been SCAMMED but these people...

phoned these arseholes again yesterday and asked if i was speaking to Chris Mortimer to be told yes i was then when i spoke i didnt tell him who i was or anything and he said i have looked into your account and it is all running fine,WHAT THE F@CK YOU DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO I WAS AND WHERE I WAS CALLING FROM!!!!! AFTER that i was told you pay your fees to advertise on there website for the chance to get jobs and that they DO NOT SAY YOU WILL GET BETWEEN 5-7 JOBS OVER 40 MILES A WEEK. Then i was informed that i was NOT speaking to Chris Mortimer at all after i pointed out he was not the same Chris Mortimer i spoke to on friday that said he would definatley call me back on MONDAY at 1pm this never happened ( theres a shock)i was asked if we were getting e-mails with the chance to quote for jobs when i answered Yes i was told we weren't entitled to a refund and i should have read the small print before taking up the offer...they also say they have had the police check over there terms and conditions and they are doing nothing illegal as its in the small print... the very small small print (we have had someone look over it and there is nothing in any of the small print!!!!! WANKERS

I think im going to build a website to run this betterfares down.

Any one can build a free site and add some good features at magnify.net

i have made lots with magnify and advertised them on twitter with an auto tweet that posts my adds automaticaly to twitter
maybe i can do the same on these scammers so every one who goes on twitter will see these scammers exposed

It would be cool to see a few sites running this bunch of scammers down exposing them.

Chris Mortimer is not his real name, he is an asian man. He lives at Apartment 1011 XQ7 Building, Taylorson Street South, Salford M5 3FN. A friend of mine is paying him a visit shortly to teach him the error of his ways.

I am also in the process of taking him to court and my solicitor is banging a petition of bankrupcy on both cybernet and betterfares.

They are total scam merchants - stay away.

He is also a painter and decorator. So I think we all need a few quotes don't we? Ring him up and send him all over the country to jobs that don't exist, waste his time like he has wasted ours!

It is an asian firm run by Yasser Hussain and Nasreen Akhtar. They are under investigation by the VAT office, Inland Revenue, Manchester Police, Ministry of Justice and Salford Trading Standards.

They are CROOKS. Be Aware of them. They work under a new website now called pendletaxis(dot)com. My advice is to call their free number 08006250362, which will cost them some money untill they pay you back what they have stolen. Will nupdate you soon

he seems to have forgot to tick the privacy settings for the taxiqoter.co.uk name at nominet.

If people are getting emails requiring them to put a link onto their web page back to any of the above sites before they get work then I would suggest that they fire off quick spam report to Google (with the email text included) as it goes against their terms and conditions of listing in the search engine.

You could try this new site which i joined @ £25 per annum which starts doesn't start until you accept your first job plus 6% commission on every job accepted, this is a new site launched just before Christmas and they've had a few jobs which are all priced, there's no quoting involved, if you see a job and it fits in with one you already have then it's worth doing - they are on page 1 of yahoo under taxi transfers, page 3 for cheap taxis, page 5 for taxis, page 9 for airport taxis and on Bing Page 1 for Taxi Transfers and Page 3 of Google for Taxi Transfers so they are getting ranked and like most site the more they are used the better they will become

I'd have thought (if you read this topic) you'd appreciate that this forum is all about being open and honest... If you are trying to get your site off the ground... tell people, don't neglect to mention that it's your site otherwise you are not much better than the guys telling people they need to add links on their homepage.

I appreciate it's a fairly obvious way of trying to promote but you will fall foul... people are incredibly savvy about the internet now so when the owner of the domain you are promoting also happens to be called Dean... it doesn't require a big stretch of intelligence. It doesn't help when you repeat post to get the link right either :-)

To be clear, there is absolutely nothing wrong with promoting your business, just do it honestly and don't spam :-)
