CHARLTON: Taxi charity funds seaside trip for youngsters
A CONVOY of black taxis will take around 400 special needs children and carers on a summer seaside trip.
The Albany Taxi Charity which organises day trips for youngsters plans to hire 120 black cabs for a trip from Charlton FC to Hastings on June 3.
A spokesman for the charity said: "For some of these children its the only day out they get all year and have a fantastic time.
"We keep costs to a minimum as we are not eligible for any government or lottery funding, but I think in a way this makes the charity even more worthwhile as every penny donated goes to the childrens special day trips."
