To NVQ or not NVQ ?.... This is the question?
There is some panic amongst Winchester City Cabbies that they will have to take an NVQ test to comply getting their licences renewed from the year 2013, to the tune of £600 and the time off work to enable such course work to be carried out.....
It seems that the stringent Council criteria is not enough and that ALL cabbies irrespective of time in the trade (23 yrs myself) will have to take...... whether we can afford it or not!!
Can anyone tell me whether this would be brought on as a local matter or is this something being brought in by Central Government to regulate even more the "deregulation" of the early 1990's?
Perplexed.......
Tony
