A taxi driver who was stabbed in an attempted robbery in Manchester eight months ago has died in hospital.
Anthony Leigh, aged 61, collected two men outside the Bay Horse pub on 5 January after his firm received a call requesting a taxi.
Mr Leigh was then stabbed as he stopped his car on Barrington Street, Clayton.
The taxi driver who has been in hospital since then, died on Sunday. Two men who admitted their part in the incident will be sentenced next month.
Declan Fitzsimmons, 19, of Chesham Avenue, Wythenshawe, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent and attempted robbery.
Nathan Livesey, 18, of Shackleton Court, Newton Heath, has pleaded guilty to attempted robbery.
