29 Jan 2009 6:13 PM Alert

Have had my '55' plate TX2clutch renewed at the end of June 08, by a reputable LTI approved dealer.  I supplied the Clutch Kit - which was enabling the conversion from Dual Mass flywheel to 'Solid flywheel'.

I purchased the Clutch Kit online from 'Transit Parts UK' where it was stated as being suitable for the TX2.

The PROBLEM IS  that at only 28,506 miles later the clutch failed leaving me with another very big bill.

This time I sourced a 'Valeo' Clutch Kit and have had it fitted by the same garage.

My question is has anyone else had the same problem with what was obviously a 'cheap/faulty sub standard unit?

Interestingly the pressure plate doesn't have any manufactures stamp on it whereas the New Valeo unit does!!

Also Transit parts uk are now advertising  the 'Valeo unit as 'GENUINE VALEO'

the emphasis on stating GENUINE suggests to me that perhaps I'm not the first to complain as they now promote 'VALEO'

I have spoken to transit parts uk and received only a fairly cool response.

All this leaves me a lot out of pocket and feeling very let down.

Would appreciate any comments/feedback
