Hi i have a digitax F  2 meter and i am changing firms to a company that uses sigtax data system, the installer says that my meter does not speak to the system because it needs to be chipped even though he hasnt looked at it and that i will need a new meter head with a different chip and it will cost £175  plus my old meter he says it needs to speak to a printer

several drivers on the firm have meters that look exactly the same as mine

can someone explain what he is trying to say because it sounds suspect to me ?

It sounds to me that he could very well be jerking you off, I do know that your meter will work with a Digitax printer.
