Hi all!
Im new to this and doing some research for the family firm, were only small with 7/8 drivers and cars and im looking for an advancement on paper and pen.
Ive worked with Autocab and Auriga previously and this was ok for quite large firms however i think booking software will do.
We basically need something that can do the following:
Allow us to input bookings, search and modify
Store accounts
IVR if poss
Run off historic reports etc the usual
Does anyone have any recommendations, prices, ideas? would welcome anything!
Thanks

You can get a free inputting system online, i've lost the link now. It all depends on how long you intend to stay at 7/8 cars. you could outgrow many smaller systems quite soon.

Hi, there are a number of taxi booking and despatch systems out there. Some suit businesses with larger fleets like Auriga and Autocab, but others are a lot more attractive for smaller businesses. For example, Mercury are a good option as they offer a 12 month free trial of the desktop software. I know a few companies who have this and they say it is easy to use.
You can see more about their software here http://www.mercurytaxisoftware.co.uk
Hope this is some help to you!

Look up www.taxibookingsonline.co.uk
Their system not only provides you with a really good web presence, a good website, etc but also the control panel system that comes with it enables you to manage bookings and drivers - great for small taxi firms who really don't need a massively expensive despatch system.
Our system costs £120 per month for Reading and so given that we get google adwords included, a great website and the mini-despatch system included we felt that this offered good value compared to thers.
Hope this helps.
Jim
