Hi All,
Please accept my apologies for contacting you in this manner. I am curently looking to bring a chip and pin secure payment system to the UK Taxi market.
Ezy Fare is currently deployed in Australia and Tangent Fleet Services is soon to be a supplier of this service to the UK.
I would like to ask whether this system would be of interest to your business as it would reduce the amount of cash carried in cabs, reduce the journeys to cash points for those that have spent up while out and about and also reduce the number of clients 'doing a runner' under the pretence of going to the cash machines.

Transaction Terminals match or exceed Payment Card industry standards for credit card transactions. Additionally, we match or exceed industry standards for transmission and end-to-end security.
Each of our Transaction Terminals is coupled with our own brand of wireless Printer. The Transaction Terminal and Printer communicate via infrared for the printing of receipts or other information. It means no hard wiring is necessary to install this hardware into your cab.
The Transaction Terminal and Printer have been designed to be compact and lightweight allowing for them clipped onto a belt or even carried in the pocket.
Additionally, Ezy Fare provides an information gateway that allows for each of its customers access to reconciliation data at the click of a button. Customers have the availability to view transaction data at the company, cab or driver levels in real time. This service keeps both the company and its drivers up-to-date with their electronic cab fare takings.
Ezy Fare provides a comprehensive repair and refurbishment program for all of our products through our 24*7 customer support center. If a problem occurs with either the Transaction Terminal or Printer, Ezy Fare will replace the defective item(s) within 24 hours.

HI Hopper,
At the moment we are negotiating with the banks to cover the deposit so that the actual cost to operators is 0. There will be the usual surcharge for credit card usage and a small portion of the surcharge will actually be paid to your company. This means that you will earn from using the service.
At the moment we are looking for letters/emails of interest from operators, the more we get, the more pressure we can put on the banks. Any operator interested in this service can express their interest simply by adding to this thread stating company name and vehicle quantities and that they are interested in the system.
This is a no obligation step to asses interest levels only
