With reference to the age on black cab topic. Never mind about the black london cabs. Has anybody seen the state of the PHV cars on the road. I firmly believe that there should most definetly be an age restriction on private hire vehicels. No older than 5 years. Now before all you PHV drivers start moaning. Private hire has long had a bad reputation for obvious reasons. I am not saying that we all rush out and buy 30k cars. Making this rule will easily get rid of the touts and also improve the image. A lot of PH firms are now making this a rule for driver owners. Lets face it u cant rely on LPHCA to do anything as they are there purely for the operators and dont give a f--k for the drivers
