hi guys,

i've got my tests on wednesday and i've just recieved the guidence notes on the rules and regs paper and im starting to soil myself. are we expected to remember every single detail off the guidence notes? for example on the guidence notes it states that

" the fourth hackney carriage to be licensed by an operator must be constructed to carry a wheelchair bound passenger and must fit the following criteria"

then it lists about 40-50 points that your carriage must conform to, which would not be as bad if it wasnt for a lot of them involving measurements such as

"the minimum tread area depth for all steps should be 5.5ins (140mm) and all steps shall be capable of supporting at least 150kg. steps should be fitted every 9ins (228mm) from road level upto internal floor height, etc etc etc"

i've learned most of the rules regarding drivers requirements, taxi meters, property etc but im really struggling to remember all of these measurment ones. any help / advice appreciated guys.

many thanks

lee
