Hi all, about 4 hours ago I tried to look up the answer to what I thought would be a simple question. I can't find any definitive answers online so I though I'd ask you all. Can a private hire car pick up without a pre-booking if he is on privately owned land? If so does he need permission from the owner of the land? And are there any conditions in this? It would be good to hear from what people know, and not what they assume. The reason I ask is because a company that hand out station rank tickets (permission to pick up on a privately owned taxi rank)say that it is perfectly legal, however a few of the hackney owners in my area say otherwise. Can anyone help me out here?
