Private Hire Insurance [Under 25]

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for Private Hire Taxi insurance. I am 20 years of age (21 in 3 months time) and own a 2007 Ford Focus, which I am hoping to plate. I've pretty much more or less spent the day contacting insurances companies, and as I write this, no luck. The only offer I got is 16,000 a year! I then threw in the towel and contacted a company who rent cars out, and out of the dozen I contacted, only one will rent me a car (02 Focus, boohoo) for 186.00 a week, however 500.00 deposit. Add to that the 80 quid I would have to pay the firm for the radio. Any recommendations would be welcome! Regards, Stogies

Hi. I've got same problem i've just turned 21 and plus 9 points on my license and I cant get any insurance what so ever I am even happy to pay up to 160 per week just for insurance, I just wanted to know when you rent a car out from the companies is it cover for private hire Insurance and do i have to get it plated as well? Many thanks
