Any one able to help with case agianst local authority

Can any one help me or point me in the right direction as im lost on what i can do or where to go to for taking a case of mine further.
I was awarded a special needs contract school run for thre years back in Aug 10.
It required a council escort which they provided.
To cut it short. i done it for a month in Sept but on last day, i got a good smacking by the student, in my drivers seat.
As the council escort, i blame for being neglegent in not doing her job correctly,she started to enter the student in my car, when he was already in a highly dangerous agitated mood, in to my car, behind me at the passenger side, when he was supposed to be put in the car on the opposite side away from the driver and sit in the offside passenger rear seat, so the escort could sit behind me and stop my self from being attacked at any point including when driving.
I got a good beating by him as they put him in and i even had to resort in restraining him myself, of which i was not trained to do,but no one was doing anything about him kicking off at me, even kicking the roof of my car in.
Because of all this and the phsycological effect it has had on me i had to quit and return the contract back to the council.
I complained of theses issues to them and said i have now been left with no job through no real fault of my own and lost my three year contract.
They said they will look in to this.
What really bugs me is when i went to compete and tender for this contract, in the description they give you in the sheet, it just mentions council escort is assigned but there is no mention why and no disclosure about there being difficult or violent behaviour.
They told me this is why there is an escort on the run.
But in my eyes, this is not always the case why an escort is on a run,not all runs that have an escort are for the reasons of violent behaviour.
Can any one help me as i believe i can hold the council liable for all thia.
