Hello huaren81
You need to do 3 things to pass your hackney carriage license.
1. Pass the knowledge test in your chosen working area - you can get this from your local council
2. Pass a CRB check (criminal records check) - see www.crb.homeoffice.gov.uk
3. Pass a medical - see you local GP.
Then once you have these you can go to your local council and get a license.
*Note you need to have a full and valid driving license.
Then you can pick who you would like to work for. I done this and started my own business. www.folkestone-airport-taxis.com
I just focus in airport taxi runs keeping it nice a specialized.
Hope this helps!
