Problem is the councils are now coming out with so many draconian rules and regulations that its now causing extra financial on drivers all over. In most places the councils have introduced 2 tests per year. Others have increase their licence fee's well above the inflation rates etc.
What are the private hire or public hire drivers doing about it.
Taking it up the yazzer and grumbling about it.
Theres no unity between the drivers, the private hire operators. Everyone is out for them.
I don't know what your thoughts are but its getting harder and harders earning a living. Propably better off signing on now.
Thats my rant for Friday anyway. Have a great weekend people.

Hi Mark,
In my role with the GMB I visit many towns and cities and the thing they all have in common is the over supply of cars and the lack of work. Licensing officers informing un-educated councilors of their own version of licensing laws. We are working with drivers from many area's to re-introduce limatation of numbers and other issues of concern. In Essex we started in Southend and now have members in Clacton, Chelmsford and other area's such as Colchester are interested, its simple drivers need to join together, get organised and take control of their industry. If your interested pm me.
Regards
BB
