Hi All

Peter from Happy Cars here

Just found this forum while looking for my taxi insurance. It would appear to be a very useful site.

I have 3 questions

1. Any recommendations for Insurance. we've got 7 cars to insure

2. Anybody heard of a these guys? www.click-a-cab.co.uk/  Never seen them before. Is it worth joining?

3. Back Fare. Anybody had any experience with it? good or bad.

Hi Peter.

Try the Taxi Insurance Trader on here it works pretty good.

I am registered with last Minute Cabs but the jobs on offer never seem to tie in and the prices are cr*p

Hi Peter,

I of course would recommend taxi insurance trader... just fill in a quick request and the insurers will start to come back to you in the working week.

With regards to point 2. I like the idea... but I would be concerned about the volumes of people they actually get searching for a cab on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? £10/wk doesn't sound a lot but £520/yr is not pocket money. If you were to do your own Google campaign with that money paying 20p per click you would be guarenteed 2600 visitors! I'm not sure they can deliver that at the moment.

If you aren't already... I would of course recommend putting a free listing on TaxiNumber.com. 1stly because it was my baby... 2ndly because it gets unrivalled traffic. It might not look as good as some of these new sites coming out now... but its been around for a while and it does the business consistently (but then I am biased!)

Not sure what Back Fare is, couldn't find it anywhere, if you post a link I will happily take a look.

All the best, Pete

Also wanted to say Click a cab is working out great. I joined about 6 weeks ago now and the bookings keep rolling in. Is by far the best system I've come across so far. the website is www.click-a-cab.co.uk
