A taxi driver's nose was broken in an unprovoked attack by two men in Yeovil, police in the town have said.

The assault happened on Sunday at around 0330 GMT in the area of Hill View and Halles Meadow, Yeovil.

The driver had picked up the men as passengers. The assault happened when the cabbie, 33, had parked his car

Both attackers were white, aged around 24, and 5ft 9ins tall. One had short brown hair, the other spiked, blond hair and a wispy beard, police said.
