Pity theres no one from the NTA on here to post how they can help the drivers as opposed to the GMB.

who obviously doesnt have a clue outside his own backyard. it would be nice if someone had a question to ask GMB that he obviously couldnt answer on the trade to show people how little he does know hence showing him for what he really is........an  hot air antagoniser gob sh..e

It seems to me the GMBPDB guy would phone a friend if asked a difficult question....whereas people with half decent knowledge would be able to point in the right direction, if not answer it themselves straight away.

I'm sure he'll also say you can have access to solicitors, facing facts, you can all have access to solicitors, but finding one with a knowledge of licensing is more difficult than you might have thought.

I'm sure we could all think of questions on various court cases, the 1847, the 1976 and the 1985 acts, but whats the point?

As I said on a previous post, it seems to me the best form of defence from the GMBPDB point of view, is attack. Sweet FA in terms of knowledge, but attack all the same.

i agree with your final comment in particular thermidor, its a pity when you have people who's sole purpose is to wind people up to get a response. little realising that it reflects badly upon themselves in the short and long term of things. refering back to terry, im sure that the views he spouts arent those of GMB but merely his own. hence i wonder if the GMB are actually aware of the damage he's doing to them as a union. he must be losing them recruits in droves and not finding any new ones. he's a liability i would assume.

I suppose he does get a response, and for the most part I suppose its a GMB problem not mine.

Everyone is aware how unions have lost members over the past few years......you only have to look at how they are kind of trying to embrace the migrant workers through the european tradeshows. There was a story about electricians or plumbers in Portsmouth now working for half their normal wages due to the influx of foreign workers.

I wonder how anyone believes they can unite the HC and PH trades under one banner? They absolutely hate each other in some places. To go around thinking its a matter of negiotiating and finding boundaries with each other is stupid, because the lowest common denominator always comes through.

Back to the GMBPDB....we see a lot of posts telling us of the benefits and calling others, but nothing in terms of substance as to their way forward.

Yozza earlier you critisced someone for hiding behind an alias just like you still are.

The views expressed are those on the industry as agreed by our branches.

Hack and PH hate each other  in some areas, hardly news! but until they co-operate they will suffer economically.

My posts on sites bring s in members , the philosophy is simple WORK together, look if your happy with the NTA stay there, many arnt and come to us freedom of choice.

Very astute of you to notice im no lawyer, however what i do have is access to the nations finest for the needs of our MEMBERS.

I fail to see the antagonism in saying work together, whats wrong with that?

Surely we hide no policys they are published in magazines on this site and will soon be on our own site www.gmbprofessionaldriversbranch.co.uk all welcome!!!!!!

Had you read the article so kindly posted btyTony Mite, youd see no claim of intimate knowledge of the industry outside London, but drivers from outside London still wanted membership.

Questions if the NTA theNPH and all the others are so clever why are they now copying our tactics on fringe benefits?

Why couldnt they solve the Diabetes problem, we DID!

Ive received much critiscism so what, we are succesfull and will continue to expand our membership!

Another question are you 2 happy with the industry, how would you change it can it be done with the current set up? if so why hasnt already been done?

I was right.....you write an incredible amount of b*llocks.

The NTA way has always been one of quietly going along looking after the interests of its members.

I did say at the top of this thread that at some point we'd hear about the GMB having access to solicitors. The reality is that the majority of people dont want access to solicitors....they want a person at the end of the phone who is abole to give them advice on how to overcome a problem BEFORE solicitors are needed.

Copying GMBPDB tactics? Not quite, the old NFTA used to offer similar schemes many years before the GMB left boilermakers.

If I want change I'll do it through my current people.

As for you negotiating please dont negotiate on my behalf, because the chances are, you'll f*ck it all up

From what I hear the guy in gateshead, mick?, did a good job, from what I've read he puts all the credit to his members and his association. I could phone admin in the morning and get the SP.

But I dont know whats gone on in Gateshead, it seems like theyve left the NTA and joined the GMBPDB
